A great, if slightly overambitious RPG
Yes, it is the only official TES game to include all of Tamriel in a single game pack, though not every part of each region is fully developed. It is exceptionally difficult and there's no indicators of what anything is, or how to go about v/x/z except vague dialogue here and there. About the only fully usable dialogue comes from the ill-fated sorcerel. It does well with what it does well and falters everywhere else, but hot damn, it's great for what it is. It is true that some character builds are going to suffer whilst others are more apt to thrive. If one wants to have a certain character build, their playstyle must adapt. There's no shifting that. The spell maker? It's broken if one can utilize it in such a way, yes. Overall, if one is wanting to have a true, classically brutal RPG experience, yes, this is exactly what one seeks. If one is wanting to get into TES, TES III Morrowind might be a better option.

(Raise Tharn's betrayal to the maximum)
Welp, boiz and girlz, it's the original! sooooo there isn't really a need to explain more than that. Sure, in contrast with Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, this game is completely different in gameplay (and map size, albeit being way emptier than the newer ones) and, together with Daggerfall, signifies another era of videogaming: an era more open in choices of characters and paths, perfect for roleplaying but at the same time the game might result a little repetitive in some department. Anyway, the actual grade for many of you that should try out this old masterpiece could be 3 stars rather than 5 (it didn't age too well) but for the hardcore gamers, the one that truly appreciate freedom, it is STILL an easy 5. So, even if you like the new direction of the series, it is not bad to actually play that started it all. A game that still manages to give that sense of adventure and wonder, typical of all games of this astonishing saga.

Good for its age.
The graphics have date a bit over 30 years. But the gameplay is not bad.

Trackpad issues. Can't play.
I can't really review this due to issues with my track pad. It makes battling hard, or impossible. I can't even defeat the first little mouse in the starter mouse hole. I am running on window 10 installed on a MacBook. It's possible there is a driver issue with the trackpad. I followed the instructions for how to do an attack, but I can't get the attacks to work consistently and sometimes the direction of the character changes or something. :( Can anyone say if this game works with a controller? I might have played an elder scrolls or might and magic on a friends PC awhile back, probably when it was new. Thought this would be nice to check out, but as mentioned, I can't use the trackpad to swing my sword.
