However, a feeling of déjà-vu quickly arises...
Guide this team of unlikely heroes in an adventure full of humor and chaos!
The Naheulbeuk universe is an original creation by French author John Lang. It started as a very popular audio comedy series parodying role-playing games and heroic fantasy tropes. Now the story is available in English and as a video game for the first time!
Game features
Play with seven classic role-playing game characters complementing each other’s skills as you level them up: the Ranger, the Elf, the Dwarf, the Magician, the Ogre and the Thief!
Every member of the team has their own skill tree to upgrade their abilities and equipment.
Choose one of three additional companions to join the team on their adventure!
Exciting turn-based battles, with creative support mechanics between team members.
An adaptive difficulty system: from an accessible and fun story mode with simplified combat to the “nightmare mode” where the smallest tactical errors will doom you!
An expansive bestiary (more than 100 enemies!) pushing you to think more tactically with every fight.
Epic boss battles where you’ll have to muster both strength and smarts to emerge victorious!
Hidden and destructive objects (including beer kegs) with surprising status effects will turn the tide of battle for the better...or worse!
Explore a huge and surprising dungeon from the cave up to the luxury quarters of the evil lord Zangdar, passing through the goblin iceskating park and even an extremely lively tavern!
Escape traps and solve deadly puzzles to unlock the most impressive treasures!
Bizarre conversations, absurd situations and unusual encounters await!
Experience an exciting main storyline and many side quests for your heroes

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister sucked hard. This game is what the developers wished it was I bet.
Better mechanics, better dialogue that's actually funny, good puzzles, challenging battles. $90 might be a bit sharp of a price, but you can get a good feel for the vanilla edition for free on MS Gamepass.
Sorry, could have been a good game, has same problem as most so called tactical games have nowadays, a Dev that cant differ between tactical depth and need to safespam like an idiot. (Designers nowadays seem to think its best to make tactical games for safespammers, cause safespamming is so fun ...)
RNG is ... well, why make so many words, if you like safespamming, this is for you.
If you like well designed tactical battles, this is not for you, you wont win a single fight without it. (well perhaps in easy mode)
Humor is ... ok, Mechanics are ... stupid (for example: walk same ways for a hundred times, cause you can only heal at one place or you spent all of your gold for potions, and ohter things you need after every fight in masses or you wont stand the first 2 rounds opf next fight, characters dont heal between fights, you have to run back every time to the tavern to heal), QoL is not there, Lore is minmalistic, Loot is minimallistic, no choices or at all and skilltrees are ... there for having skilltrees.
All in all ... no recommendation.
Will try to refund it.
I remember this game being announced...I was reluctant to place it on my wish list and wait for a sale. That sale arrived, I purchased the game, and in a bit over an hour find myself repulsed with the language of the game. Perhaps I'm too much the old fart, but find no reason for fantasy creatures to be blithely cussing through the (brief) encounter.
A refund requested...and I am yet again hesitant to but games that offer so little information about themselves to the prospective buyer.
Game is fun and has a lot of charm, would give 4-5 stars but in no way is this ******* ending possible and really whoever though about doing that is a *****.
