The Crimson Diamond
Description
The Crimson Diamond is an EGA text parser mystery adventure game where you play as amateur geologist and reluctant detective Nancy Maple. Nancy is born and raised in Toronto, Canada, where she works as a clerk for the Royal Canadian Museum. She dreams of attending university to study geology and mineralogy, and she's prepared to venture into the unknown to achieve her goals!
Follow Nancy as she travels north to the ghost town of Crimson, Ontario to investigate the discovery of a massive diamond in the area. Eavesdrop on conversations to learn more about the eccentric cast of characters who find themselves gathered at Crimson Lodge. Explore the lodge and its environs to evaluate the diamond claim, and maybe solve a mystery or two along the way! The Crimson Diamond is a cozy mystery that encourages reading and engaging in the story over devious arcade challenges.

The Crimson Diamond is a fantastic mystery that's incredibly enjoyable to solve. The characters are delightful, the visuals are stunning, the music is catchy and era appropriate, and there's quite a lot to discover. This is a must play for any adventure game fan.

A Modern Classic
This game flows wonderfully and let's you still use your own wits to go about solving the mysteries of Crimson Lodge. The EGA graphics are a beauty!

Such an amazing game
I can't believe a solo dev created this gem all by herself. That's incredible. The Crimson Diamond is everything I love about retro games, except better. You know how some old games had puzzles with completely nonsense solutions, or you had to fight the text parser to type exactly the right phrase? TCD eliminates that kind of junk, leaving only the best kind of nostalgic vibes. The pixel art and animations are lovely. The characters and story are charming. From beginning to end, the plot had me hooked. I also loved feeling like I was doing real detective work. I would highly recommend this game to any fans of the genre.
