Back in the 90s, I can't count how many times I played through this game. The atmosphere, the tension, the mystery, the satisfaction of figuring something out -- it all adds up to an amazing gameplay experience that I've never seen replicated. As a fan of King's Quest and Quest for Glory, I was a bit hesitant about jumping into a game where you're playing as a girl in her pajamas, but man this game will go down in history as one of my absolute favorites of all time.
Although tricky at first, once you get tha hang of it, the game is really engaging. The puzzles at time are a bit difficult, but that's often because you have a much more options than in games of that era. The time mechanic is an intersting one. You can miss some things in the game owing to it, but its not a detriment - I actually think it increases replayability.
Although it has some annoying things like glitching where people/items move locations are do not appear like they should...it is easy to see why Sierra made some of the greatest games of my childhood.
