Main goal of this project is to honour one the best classic cRPG and take the die-hard fans of the original Gothic trilogy as well as new players on one more adventure in the Kingdom of Myrtana.

Experience the events that forged the original Gothic storyline and see with your own eyes how the creation of the Valley of Mines impacted people far away from the main continent.Make your mark in a brutal world where your every decision has a clear impact on its environment and the lives of those you meet on your path.
Play as Marvin, a young man who was driven away from his home by the war looming over the horizon. The reality of the Archolos, a place he runs to, unfortunately proves to be far from his expectations. Rich merchants craving only for more gold, servants of the king Rhobar II who put into practice every new and more restrictive laws and waves of desperate refugees who just like the protagonist search for a decent life. Marvin will have to find a way to survive in this land of treachery, opportunism and opposing interests.
You are not the chosen hero, you are not a villain. You are a survivor.
Will you take everything you want by the force? Or will you try to help others in need?

It's great - play it.
It's hard to put into words, what an amazing game The Chronicles of Myrtana Team has created, so I'll just leave this here in the meantime.

Masterpiece
This mod is much better than Gothic 3, so for me it should be official Gothic prequel. I'm so happy playing this game as it brought me good memories when I played Gothic and Gothic 2 NotR almost 20 years ago... Thanks a lot to this hard-working and super dedicated team. They developer amazing game with enhanced crafting, great story and brand new map to discover. I donated them already and I recommend each one of you to do the same. Lost but not least - the amount of easter eggs is tremendous!

It feels like Gothic1/2
Overall the mod is great, it feels like gothic, probably due to being on the same engine and in the same world but i digress, the game is hard to pinpoint of which gothic i like the most after i beat it, the voice acting (Polish) is brilliant, the questlines are intrigueing, only one thing i needed to got used to is combat somehow, since i played orginal numerous times i felt off somehow, but it's probably just my imagination, and additionally there seems to be a delay in quicksaves and loadingquicksaves, even on my ryzen7 7800x3D and RTX4080, but it's also probably due to it being played on with DX11, but coming back to the gameplay and specifically it's music, it's just marvelous the reused tracks from base game's slightly remixed are just music to my ears, and finaly the vibe which is felt at the start Silbach is such great location, and many many more. im greetfull to the devs that they made this modification truly
