Stylish & Atmospheric Point & Click Gem

I really enjoyed The Blind Prophet. It doesn’t reinvent the point & click genre, but it mixes classic mechanics with a bit of that Telltale-style storytelling, and it works really well. The atmosphere is what hooked me first: dark, stylish, and very unique. Bartholomeus has a strong presence and reminds me of some Elric or Requiem anti-hero guy. Visually, the game is beautiful. The comic book style really helps set the mood. The story is also very engaging and it had me hooked from the very beginning. Overall, it's not a groundbreaking game, but it's a solid and memorable one. If you like point & clicks with a cool vibe and great art, I definitely recommend it. I'm happy to support a young studio that clearly put a lot of love into their game.

Beautiful drawings are not enough...

First things first: it's a beautifully drawn and animated interactive graphic novel. The story is at least interesting and has potential. BUT: The controls and gameplay are just awful. And why on earth is there no voice acting in this game?! (at least as an add-on afterwards). Other independent productions have done that excellently. To be honest, I didn't finish the game because it annoyed me too much for the reasons I mentioned.

Just very BAD, as much as it can be

Not really a game, you have only impression you are interacting with naively childish story, a mixture of laundry esoteric, Christian demonology and authors imagination. Terrible English translation, no real puzzles, lots of irrelevant items, each with option: Observe, Take, Use, Discuss. You have option for ship's anchor or naval mine to take it or to start a discussion. I quit after 15 minutes when bug made me stuck in a room. Didn't bother to reset the game. BTW there are plenty of minor bugs when you start messing around with irrelevant items around you. No stars at all, asked for refund.
