Northern Comfort

The Banner Saga got beautyful hand drawn style, great characters, impactful choices, solid tactical combat and intense atmosphere. It is not perfect: resource management is weak, numbers of people in caravan do not mean anything, some consequences of the choices are impossible to predict, images in dialogues and cutscenes are mostly static. But all those flaws are unimportant compared to how engaging The Banner Saga is.

It was amazing

Some months ago I bought and played this game and I loved it. Some dialogs were very difficult to understand (my mother tongue is german, and when I bought it there was just the english version) but with a dictionary it was really okay. I was quite deep into the story and I loved it. I loved the gameplay, the battlesystem, the story, the mechanics, the freedom of making opportunitys and the amazing artwork (that reminded me on my early childhood). If you like to read, great artwork, a very nice story and an not too complicated but interesting battlesystem you will like "The Banner Saga". Hopefully a Sequel is coming soon.

Very nice game

I liked the banner saga very much, almost finished it in one go (ok I had to go to sleep but only 1-2 hours were left) The story had some unforseen twists and isn't all nice. (despair and sorrow mostly with little moments of joyfulness and fun) Anyway I only played combat in easy (was playing for the story) and that was just that, which suited me nicely. And the story was definitly worth it.

Get this for iOSinstead.

I played this on IOS first, loved it. Then now at the release of the third and last game I get it for PC so that to play through all the chapters. For stupid reasons they left out one of my favourite characters that was included in the iOS version. It's a long many years ago they released this game, i'd gladly pay extra to have access to that character on my PC too.
