Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure

I can't believe I never saw this game come out. I have all the Tex Murphy Games on GOG - and was obsessed with them in the 90's. My friends and I would play these games at sleep overs and have a blast. Access Software was based in Utah - and we took a field trip there in high School with our Multi-media Class - we go tot meet Chris Jones by accident while we were there. Total stud in real life. I'm so excited to get going on this game. what a treat to come across it. Better Late than never. Now if those Two Guys From Andromeda could only finish their proposed new project - my nostalgic 90's gaming dreams would be complete.

This is a great film noir adventure, packed with humor and set in a radiaction polluted future. The characters are perfect, with some famous actors and a superb Tex Murphy (if you don't know him, you are gonna love this out of time, down on his luck PI); the script has an intrincate store with multiple paths, much better than most big budget movies, and the quality of the FMV is the best possible. The gameplay is easy, even the non adventure gamers can play it with no trouble, the big exploration areas and interactive conversations are really inmersive, and the puzzles are a nice touch. The music score is beautiful, some fun tunes, a great intro theme, and an equally good ending credits song. For 20 bucks it's a bargain! If you like adventure games, or mistery films, this is for you, no doubt about that.

Being a Tex fan since i first played Under A Killing Moon when i was 13 i was blown away when i heard they were making this. Now that i have played it i can honestly say that it has been well worth the wait. FMV sequences are just stunning in 2K res and the gameplay is as good as the games predecessors. With new and familiar faces this is sure to please any Tex fan out there. Long live Tex Murphy!!

I'm just going to start off this review by saying that I am a huge Tex Murphy Fan and I have been dying to play this game ever since they started the Kickstarter for it back in 2012, God It's amazing to see how time flies. This is a game that Tex Murphy Fans will eat up and love from beginning to end however I also believe that this is a game which could be able to introduce more people to the world of Tex Murphy. ***** In my Opinion A Masterpiece of Adventure Gaming

I just started the game but...oh boy ! Tex is back and for a long time i hope ! Long live to the TEX ! Okay, i played former tex's adventures as a child, as a boy, as a teenager, and as an adult and someday i'm gonna tell my child " That's a real good game, back in the day they know hot to do it, quit call of duty 23 on your super mega oculus rift and do the Tex's adventures !" but i'm being impartial saying that some big video games studios should take lessons of you guys, you're at the same time video games makers, directors, actors and real artists, you improve video games at an other level.
