Shallow gameplay and an annoying bug
Gameplay is very basic. You walk from left to right, talk to NPCs, pick up an item, walk back, use the item and repeat this in 10 levels + prologue. In later levels combat mechanics are introduced, this adds shooting, reloading and doge rolling. Nothing new, nothing spectcular. The story is about a murdering horror clown, and if you know the typical slasher movies, than you will not be surprised by any story beat. The pixelart is great, and while it prevents any possibility of immersive horror at least the pixel-gore is well staged. So my verdict is 2 stars (3 if you really like comic gore), as the bland gameplay and stereotypical plot cannot be fully compensated by the nice graphics, but be warned ... ... a bug prevents that your progress is saved. That means you have to play that game in one session (2.5 hours) or you will never see the ending. And if you want to replay a level, sorry, not possible.
