Terraria

here we have yet another minecraft clone, that attempts to be different by going 2d instead of 3d. unfortunately, this game is plagued with bugs that will frequently crash/freeze your computer. not to mention the overall boring gameplay and monotonous building/destroying mechanic. the game looks....like an upgraded super nintendo game. not quite upgraded to the point of the n64, but sort of like if you added dynamic lighting to an snes game, and had more colors displayed. honestly, this whole "16 bit" thing is way overused, and done for this game simply to make an easy to throw together game that people will throw money at hoping for a minecraft like experience. the combat is boring, enemies are overpowered to the extreme, and still boring. the environment is bland, and after a few minutes you realize that its just a lazy "copy paste" job to the left and right. the crafting is a joke, most crafting is useless things that dont do anything, and it ALL requires you to spend a vast amount of time to make said useless objects. the game was copy/pasted and sold as "starbound" where they didnt bother to fix any of the bugs or performance issues. if you enjoy a game with heavily outdated graphics, that runs on ANY computer about as well as trying to run crisis 2 on a 10 year old laptop, with boring gameplay, bland environments, and no feel of progression, than this is the game for you. if you want to have fun though, stay far far away from this travesty.

I don't like it. And yes, I am allowed to have this opinion. If I know how Internet people work, then chances are high that you, the reader of this review, are feeling angry right now because I don't like it. But there's no need to be. Just calm down. It's alright. Everything is going to be OK. Another guy on the Internet may not like it, but life will continue and the world will keep spinning. Just take deep breaths, relax and carry on with your life.
