Social and economic conflicts have rocked the world. There is just one metropolis that can boast stability, but even this city only has enough resources to maintain a precarious balance of power. The authorities decided to create an algorithm that could build a perfect city for all segments of the population. This project gave birth to Iris, an artificial intelligence designed for building a utopia. Welcome to Technotopia!
You will have a deck of cards with buildings at your disposal. Build skyscrapers, parks, residential districts and transport highways. It's up to you to decide what the ideal metropolis should look like.
Four factions are fighting for control of the city: capitalists, aristocrats, politicians, and the common people. They will do anything to bend the others to their will, and every decision you make tips the scales. Play the role of arbiter, meeting everyone's needs equally.
A city is a living organism, where something is always happening that requires your attention. Where do you put up fire victims? What do you do with the gang that has taken control of some districts? Factions will offer their solutions, but it's up to you whether to follow them or advance your own agenda.
The city is home to a variety of characters. Hackers, oligarchs, criminals and inventors — communicate with the cream of the crop and provide them with services in exchange for their help in maintaining order. A perfect city is built for people, with the help of people!

crash on tab out from full screen?
Fun short game. The deckbuilding aspect of the game is more of a background thing rather than something you actively modify like typical deckbuilders. One thing to be aware of is that tabbing out from full screen appears to crash the game. Other than that I havne't found any major negatives.,

Wonderful puzzle game, great aesthetic
An amazing little game! While it comes in the guise of a city-builder and the story revolves around constructing the titular Technotopia, it's actually a puzzle game. As you draw cards, you place tiles of one of four colours, arrange them into specific shapes and get points for the equivalent colour. The goal is to always have enough points for all four colours at the end of a week, otherwise the game ends. This becomes more difficult and - eventually - impossible, as the number of points you need to reach increases each week. Basically, you need to survive as long as possible, then start over. To help with that, you can unlock new and more powerful cards that synergize with each other to generate more points. Additionally, there are special projects (which usually means surrounding a structure with tiles) that grant additional boosts or drive the story along. Lastly, there are semi-randomized mini events that also affect your points, often over several weeks. With the way the game works, you can't simply follow your own values in these events, but need to think about the balance of points for the end of the week. The game features rogue-lite elements, so new cards you've unlocked and main story progression that you've made will persist as the game starts over repeatedly. Speaking of which, both the main story and the mini events are quite compelling and often feature some dark humour. The graphics are beautiful and stylized; the music is chill, unobstrusive, and fitting. The only issue I see is with the length of the main story - I finished it in literally one evening. But firstly, the game is incredibly cheap for what is provided, and secondly you can always keep playing after the main story finishes, to unlock more cards, achievements, or simply to see how long you can survive. Highly recommended, it's a great deal.

A good short game!
Alright… a good find that one. Simple yet fun gameplay loop with nice graphics and a surprisingly good music ambiance. I feel like the gameplay loop and the story could have been somewhat extended but a 100% achievement run will not make the game overstay its welcome. For a few bucks on sales you should get 5 to 7 hours of entertainment… Worth it in my opinion.
