Check out the whole Talisman series here and the Warhammer Franchise here!

Welcome to the world of Talisman. A land filled with perilous Quests, Enemies and challenges. But with it comes an adventure you’ll never forget.

Choose from a roster of characters who have unique strengths, weaknesses and special abilities. Select your adventurer carefully as their skills could be the key to you getting your hands on the mighty Crown of Command. A magical artifact that holds the power to destroy all rivals, the Crown of Command has the power to make the bearer the true ruler of the kingdom.

Your adventure to the Crown of Command won’t be an easy one. You’ll need courage, patience and some good dice rolls to survive the dangers you will face. Deadly monsters, tricky traps and magical disasters will try and stop you at every turn!

Talisman: Digital Edition is the officially licensed digital version of the classic fantasy adventure board game, Talisman. Using the 4th Revised Edition rules, choose from 16 characters and venture out on a perilous journey to be the first to claim the Crown of Command.

Grab up to 5 friends online or locally and delve into a Talisman adventure! Online games can be saved and continued at a later date if needed, so no need to worry about time limits! Or if you fancy looking your opponents in the eyes as you face them in deadly combat, Talisman: Digital Edition can be played in hot-seat mode.

Do you see yourself as Good, Neutral or Evil? Depending on which character you decide to play they’ll have a pre-set alignment which can change how you will interact with spaces. However, alignment can be changed throughout the game if you encounter certain cards or spaces.

As you adventure through Talisman anything could happen… Most spaces on the board will require you to draw one or more Adventure Cards. These cards could reveal an Event, Follower, Enemy, Places, Stranger or Objects which could include powerful weapons or magical artifacts.
Adventure Cards are critical to building your character’s inventory and becoming more powerful.

In Game

Before you head to claim the Crown of Command, you need to make sure you’re powerful enough! The challenge ahead isn’t an easy one, the Inner Region is fraught with danger and creatures with high Strength and Craft.

Levelling up your characters Strength, Craft, Lives, Fate, and Gold isn’t too difficult, but you can lose it just as quickly…. You can pick up resources by earning Trophies, visiting certain Place Cards or spaces on the board or through the Objects you find.

When you’re strong enough it’s time to climb the steep steps up to the Crown of Command, where you can conquer all and rule your kingdom.

Account Leveling

Each game of Talisman earns you Experience Points (XP) towards the global leaderboards. Prove you’re the mightiest adventurer!

Talisman is a game like no other… Are you ready to do what it takes to rule the land?

Two Stars if Playing Solo

Talisman is fundamentally a game that wants to be played with a bunch of your friends around a table and plenty of beer, so you can all have a good laugh at whatever ridiculous stuff the dice and cards dump on you. I'd give the tabletop experience 4/5. As a solo computer game, the level of randomness gets more frustrating than funny, but it can still be an amusing time-killer. I got it on sale, and feel like I got my money's worth, but I'm not sure I'd feel the same at full price. Yes, there is a lot of DLC, but none of it is mandatory. It's all what DLC should be, add-ons to mix things up once you're bored with the base game. Wait until it's on sale, get a couple of friends to play with in chat, and have fun.

Decent digital version of the board game

Plays pretty much like how I remember the board game working when I played it with HS buddies years ago. In some places the interface is a little awkward and slow, it was most noticeable to me in the final square, if you kill someone at the crown of command their gear clutters the floor and the game forces you to cycle through it every turn. I bought the base version on sale and feel it was a very good value for what I paid. It feels like a complete game without any of the added content; the DLCs aren't necessary to have a good game experience.

Perfect adaptation but with few flaws

I'm fan of a board game for almost 20 years so can tell that digitalization is really 1 to 1, everything is exactly same like in physical board gime. Issues starts when You try to play with AI or online. It really seems like in most games AI rolls are just better, except cases when You use some spells or have characters letting You roll two dices, which may frustrate lot of people (but still, it is game of randomness, so no point to get frustrated). Online games are really, really slow, it is probably because of bad servers (tried on PC and consoles, it is the same), game speed and UI settings does not help much. Anyway, I really recommend to at least try base game, but with few expansions really shows it's wonders (Sacred Pool, Frosmarch, Dungeons and Hills at least)

Old School Role Play feel

This is a great adaptation of the physical board game Talisman. I play alot with AI and some times pass n play. Yes this is a bit of luck dependent. And skill at this game comes at knowing the right time to take chances. For me, this makes it stand out from other games. Also, this game makes my mind go wild. The events from the card drawn become elements of a story being written in my head as I play. Recent challenge update was great to keep me wanting to check in daily, so I can defend my rank (which is lowsy, but I'm proud of it) I would recommend this game if you want something that doenst need to hog all your attention and that you can appreciate at your own pace, while preserving that awesome pen and paper feeling you get when you roll the die and get just enough to slay that dragon.

Own much of this on Android

I bought it on Android many many years ago. I hope I'll get to use it here on my PC without paying for everything again. We'll see. I bought the majority of the expansions as well. The game is enjoyable after passing the "learning" and "getting used to" phases, and there are some hilarious random moments which stays with you for the years forward. For me, it was "toad on toad" action, where we were playing with a guy and both of us were turned into a toad either by rolls or spells, and we landed on each other and our legendary battle ensued. It was a draw. We landed on each other again, draw again. This continued like this until our toad morphs ended and I am sure we both were laughing our softmeats off even though that guy was in some other part of the world because the possibility for those rolls happening was next to zero. I hope he reads this and contacts me because I forgot his nickname.. Mine was Lorathal. The game becomes painfully long with more than 3 players present, so the optimal number of players was 3 for me. That is, if bad rolls don't cause a player to die early, but then there was no-perma death mode and bunch of other modes to try and experiment with. For a long time, the game suffered from random kicks of players from the game with the inability to rejoin. That killed the game for me. But this was years ago. Maybe it is fixed now, although I doubt it. The number of players was too low back then, so it was not always easy to join or host an on-line game. I hope it will get the much needed number of players from GOG here, and maybe I will get back to playing this pack of joy again.
