Pointless cashgrab

And a slap in the face to those who bought the first "remaster" Nightdive did back in 2012, which was actually warranted because of how incompatible SS2 was for modern systems in the decade following its release. The fact that Nightdive is charging seperately for this remaster with not even a discount to those who supported their first remaster a decade ago is an insult. This isn't a case of a different publisher handling a new release and thus treating the remaster as a different product. Nightdive has remastered this game twice now, and is just out for a quick buck.

I beat Swinekeeper!

I found all of the corn after so many attempts! Oh and my partners were like actually beating the game at the same time. Every now and then they needed me to hack something, which would have to wait for Swinekeeper, but they sounded like they were having fun, too. 10/10

So close to five stars it hurts

PLEASE NOTE: I am reviewing the Remaster release. I am not reviewing the game itself. But if I did, it would be one lone sentence: 'Aside from a few minor balance quibbles, this game holds up just as well as the day it was released - if not moreso (due to how trash/slop modern gaming generally is)'. =============================== This was almost everything I want from a remaster, and nothing I don't. The only thing missing was the ability to rebind the function keys. I like to have F6 as quicksave, and F9 as quickload. You need F1-F5 because that's used to swap between the 5 different psionic tiers (i.e. magic spell ranks), So why couldn't I use F6? I suspect it's hardbound and the remaster devs have no control over that. But I could use Shift+F6 tp quicksave. The game allowed THAT. But not F6. That's the only thing that stops this from being a perfect remaster in my eyes.
