System Shock® 2 (1999)

Must have to everyone

One of the greatest games I've ever played. Let's see. Great story, suspensful atmosphere, twist ending ( kinda), great challenging gameplay but not too challenging, puzzles, strategy, character development. I need to quit writing this review and play it again....bye

So if you like first person shooters, RPG elements, leveling up and a great story, System Shock 2 is for you. The graphics are slightly aged but the gameplay and story why the Von Braun is messed up will make you forget it. Highly recommended.

SS2 is an Action RPG survival horror game that will make you scare the sh♥t out of you, with his lonely corridors, ghostly apparitions and the constant voice of "the many" trapped in a starship falling apart is just... terrifying. The player uses melee and projectile weapons to defeat enemies, this weapons will deteriorate rapidly and they have bad accuracy, while you progress in the game you can upgrade this weapons so they can last long also the player can upgrade his skills by spending "cyber-modules" which are obtained as rewards for completing objectives or searching square of the ship. You can hack devices such as keypads to open rooms or alternate areas, vending machines can be hacked too to reduce prices. Additionally along side ammo types, software can be used to research unknown items and enemy weaknesses, by sampling their organs and combining chemicals found in storage rooms. Psionic powers can also be learned, such as invisibility, fireballs and teleportation. This game is one of my greatest childhood obsessions (alongside HL1) :3 This game will not disappoint. n1v3k.

I played this for years even got a few small mods. Saw GOG had it and had to have it again. All those years it is still hours of endless terrific and totally unpredictable. Choose class and multiclass at will gear is upgradeable and always needing to be watched. This game play is only limited by tech so kids may not find as entertaining with limited graphics.
