Great visuals, great remake, but it can be easy to get lost, forget what you're doing, and sturggle to figure out where the rest of the mission is. Inventory managmenet with the constant vaporizing and turning junk into coins is fun but also takes up too much time away from the actual game. I would prefer if the playing experience was a bit smoother, but still a great game!
I hope game will be ported to other platforms and become Open-Source one day so Shodan is free :-) :-) :-)
By the way you folks need to also play original SS1 and SS2. It. Is. A. True. History. :-)
dont think i ever played a remake with this amout of polish. there are few, and i mean few. things that could have been different but it get overshadowet by everything else the game has going for it.
dont buy on sale. they deserve every penny
I love older system shock 1. Remake is a fantastic. Graphic, gameplay, soung, music everythin greming me legend in new polished coat. I used 50 percent render in option.
P.S. For new players who like clear objectives listed in menus and labeled maps with navigation, SS1 can be confusing. It's a bit of an old game style. You learn what to do in hints and calls, also codes.
But don't give up. This is a fascinating experience of one of the best games in the world.
A good remake on a great story!
Despite not being a fan of pixelated art, and pixelated remakes in this case, I did enjoy this remake quite nicely indeed.
I believe that System Shock remake is a good starting portal for those who have yet to try out the System Shock series. The lore is really good.
Have a good computer that can run the game flawlessly and you will enjoy the experience no doubt.
