Syberia

This game means a lot to me. Actually the Syberia series means a lot. The first two games were a part of my childhood, especially the first game. I discovered the games in 2004 through a friend and since then I play them every year. Syberia 1 is one of the best games in video-game industry. The story is awesome, Kate Walker has a great character developement, the places where you go and the visuals...SUPERB. Benoit Sokal(RIP) has done a great job with the series. So bad that he passed away last year. Can't wait to play Syberia : The World Before. Long live Syberia !

Good story and little bit slow game play but all good. Seems back in 2002 they really wanted me to see how well Kate could walk up and down stairways and see took her time. :) But I enjoyed it and the story was better than Kathy Rain wich is the last game I played and enjoyed that one too.

I played first Syberia with my sister a couple of years ago it was an intersting adventure but we have a really hard time finishing the game. Now a couple of year later SPOILERS Ahead the part where you have to prepare the drink still kills the last part of the game for me its incredible stupid. On the other hand the game still holds up thanks to the pre render stages, however some models specially the 3d ones look at times horrobly but i understand its an old game and by the way you need a special software to run this game i have to use DG Voodoo in order to run this sucker and the sequel but it was worth. amazing game a must play for the fans of the genre and the franchise.

The only way i can describe this game is charming. Im not a point and click kind of dude, but i honestly enjoyed this little adventure. A really chill relax game with some humor sprinkled with some feels, where you need to use your brain-logic and pay attention to detials. PS: If you double click in a direction then you can run.

Syberia is a classic 2D (or in this case so called 2.5D) point and click adventure game in the same style as Broken Sword. The hand drawn backgrounds are beautiful, the voice acting really good and the story one of a kind. Kate is very likable and even if she's travelling the game has an intelligent way of showing her character grow in comparison to her ordinary home life. The characters that she meet along the way are all memorable, the locations are memorable and the setting is truly unique. The word "automaton" will go from obscurity to common knowledge as you play this game. It's a true gem that just had a sequel that I'm yet to play. Personally Syberia 1 is my all time favourite even if 2 is a direct continuation of the story. You will never regret playing this game, it's magical. + Story + Art work + Characters + Character development + Voice acting - The puzzles are sometimes a bit easy
