Swords & Souls: Neverseen

I'm new to games on the computer, and I've been a bit intimidated to get into them. I'm so glad this was one of the first ones I picked up! This game was challenging enough to hold my interest, but easy enough that I was never really frustrated. Honestly, so much fun!

Very addictive, doesn't take long to beat the game, but it does have an endless mode which is pretty fun

Great game, could've been a bit longer but has a lot of upgrades, a lot of stuff to do, the learning curve is almost perfect.

If you are an RPG vet, you will feel right at home in the battle. But the training element is something new to me and is quite a fun aspect, really challenging your reflexes with keyboard and mouse. The only thing I wish was that there was a manual to explain some of the details of the UI and weapons. But even without those details, I am able to keep leveling up and progressing. And I don't even really like RPG games like this all that much, and am just having a blast!

The core loop of the game is semi-automated combat where you have some active skills/potions along with minigames that increase your stats. Whether you like this game depends on whether you like timing-based minigames. Art style is great. Music/SFX are OK. You are not playing this game for story/characters and you will never replay it either. Some of the really high-end achievements will be incredibly tedious to get if you are a completionist. With all this in mind I bought the game on sale and got more than 15 hours worth of pretty relaxing and dumb fun out of it. If you sometimes just want to chill out with a game without having to get sweaty then you should give S&S:N a shot.
