SWAT 4: Gold Edition

I bought this game immediately back when it originaly released in 2005 and played it regularly through the years but when I saw it on GOG I had to buy it once more. If you are looking for a slower paced tactical shooter you should really try this even now in 2018 because the gameplay is excellent and graphics surprisingly hold up very well which just goes to show that this game as a package was well ahead of it's time in 2005.

Playing this single player is still lots of fun, albeit it's ace is showing. But playing it Co-operative is something else. Me and my friends are still looking for a newer game as good in Co-op as still age old tactical shooter. Multiplayer still works, but requires a Ubisoft account.

In the history of FPS, you are just hard to find a game which needs player to be patient and wisdom. Most of these games just need you to click your mouse and kill enemies. Somtimes, you can also use some items which are not so important, the player can just defeat boss/enemy without the item. In addition, most of these games also don't need player to make a tactical plan,just push forward. But Swat4 are not such a game, it needs the player pays a lots of works and uses his brain to find a perfect way to go on every mission which make the player devote in this game.The player needs to predict every scenario that might happen in real action. Once the player missed it, The enemy will punch the whole team and make the mission failed. And the player also needs to have the ability to change the plan and to face the unpredictable scenario which gives the player the presure and makes the player excited. In a action,the player will also need to plan his gears and weapons. For example,when enemy are just no-armor,you can use SMGs and low-weight gear to move fast and break through. But if you are facing a group of well prepared bandits, you will need to put on your best gears and move slowly. I like Swat4 and OLD Rainbow Six, the new one just get away from tactic and reality I look for the Ready or not in 2020.

True classic SWAT based game and in some ways better than Ready or Not
