You should ALWAYS check the negative reviews before purchasing highly rated games since they are in a lot of cases actually mediocre. Do not rely on popular opinion to decide for you - and that goes for a lot of things, not just games! Honestly, SWAT 4's rating should be somewhere between 2/5 to 3/5 stars. It was fun during the first few levels (simpler levels), but when the levels increase in complexity, SWAT 4 falls flat. The failures are too many to list. If you want a realistic SWAT tactical shooter experience, steer clear of SWAT 4.
