Sudeki, a world torn apart into light, shadow and dark. Rent asunder by deceit and betrayal, the land cries out for a peace that only four united heroes can bring.
Beyond the protective walls of Illumina Castle lie miles of pastoral, rolling countryside, though once a serene landscape, the Aklorian forces have transformed the countryside into a charred battlefield. Simply passing through the region is unsafe, as travellers must be ever alert for ambushes.
Four friends have joined together to aid their queen. Though destined to encounter ancient gods, primordial wonders, and marvellous inventions, foes and betrayal haunt their every step. A keen eye could prove vital, exposing essential clues. And as the companions make their way through darkness and light, they’ll discover that those two extremes have more in common than they once imagined...
Real-time, bone-crunching combat with incredible spells and combos.
Control any one of the four champions at any time, and skip between them at will.
Customise each character's armour, weapons and spells and evolve new powerful attacks.

I played this way back in the day on the XBOX. I had a blast. The character interaction, story development, combat mechanics, etc. all come together to make a very memorable experience. The game also has some good graphics which hold up well by today's standards. I highly recommend playing it.
This game is a game about hype. It was overhyped, under developed and silly. You cannot get that far without using specific builds for characters. Eventually if you do not follow a strict plan, you will end up in boss fights you cannot win no matter your level of twitch. It's very unfun to be in a situation that requires you to restart the entire game, especially as almost all the characters that get introductions then get a very arbitrary 'tutorial' mission. It was not a good game on the Xbox, and by design it cannot be a better game on PC. Play any of the other million games this is trying to be if you want something with teeth. An attempt at being Star Ocean but ending as a weak barely-rpg. The models are also pretty, but poorly animated.
Please note, I have not beat this game as it was not possible for my Elco to defeat the boss later on. Take that as you may.
I really tried to like this game, the concept and content seemed solid... but the interface was just too clunky for me to get barely a half-hour into it. Navigation is kind of laughable, and you have very little real control over the interface and camera.
Sudeki is a game defined by it´s concept art and it´s gameplay in a very similar way.
This two areas are really well made, but are far away from perfect. Arts doesnt work fine for western tastes, but also are not really eastern.
The gameplay is exactly the same, the story is interesting and characters are more or less nice, but still don´t have the energy and epic that some eastern rpg games have, either have the big customization of the western rpgs.
Anyway, even being in the "middle of nowhere game style", Sudeki is in general a very enjoyable game.
The game is short and after I beat it I traded it back. I felt the story was weak and in the end had no reason to go through a second play through . Luckily the price is right so it's a decent weekend killer.
