At first you hardly understand what you have to do. Once you solve that initial problem, things get really fun. The game can be played through blindly, but I would still recommend using a walkthrough. Because this game doesn't take you by the hand and shows you every goal so easily. And since the levels are randomly generated anyway, the walkthrough is just a small signpost. The only other advice I can give is look for the chips. And skip Mining 3 and Biosphere 3. And don't search for the life support rooms, but if you find one always reactivat it. I guess the rest you will find out by your own.

I dont know why this game gets so many mid reviews. It is very immersive and engaging. You have lots of systems to maintain on top of the usual survival meters (food, water, rest, etc.) It is kind of open world where you can explore on your own in which ever order you like. You cant lollygag though because you have to keep the contamination at a managable level or else it could get really out of hand.

Better graphics than the 90's, sadly far worse gameplay. Lot of good games around with a top down view, this is not one of them. After a bit over 4 hours playing to give it a fair go it felt predictable, flat (not only in the literal sense) and boring. Promising start, followed by a total lack of anything surprising, challenging, interesting.... or fun. Lot of tedious running back and forth while under time pressure. Combat was uninspiring. NOT a game i would compare to Diablo/Terraria/Doom...
