Strike Commander
Technically works on win 7. I can not get several input devices detected. I tried microsoft 360 gamepad. Joystick calibration does not work. I tried a Saitek Joystick, not detected, i tried Thrustmaster Hotas x gets detected, but the joystick axis control does not work in game. I tried the dosbox input config. That worked, but you can not input more then one order at once. The diving and turning or climbing and turning is impossible. The inputs are to fast. Plane is uncontrollable. Because of the control issues i give this game a 1 out of 5. I will not use joy2key for a game a bought. 1. joy2key costs money, 2. it takes hours to configure it right. I expect the input devices to work on a game i bought for money. Especially when the sellers advertises the product as working on modern Operating systems. Then please put some effort into the work. I have the original game. The game gets 3 out of 5 stars from me, it is just a mediocre flight sim with some boring cutscenes. The campaign has only canned, scripted missions that never change. I got more fun out of real dynamic campaigns of flight sims like red baron, gunship 2000. I bought the game again here, because i thought i get a version that runs flawless on modern system. Input devices are very important to fly a flight sim. Without a working controller or Hotas it is nearly worthless. Thank you for reading, have a nice day.
