This game is incredible, it has some flaws, just like every game, but the fun is inavoidable.
Before you start, make sure that you can change the fov. Its in pcgamingwiki.
Have fun!
Back in the good ol' days when even kind of crappy games were still fun. For $2, this game offers plenty, though the second mission basically just straight sucks. It's pretty short, can be beaten in a night or two but I think it's good for a couple replays of favorite levels.
This game has every thing you could ever want if you are a fan of Chinese movies like me, it takes after The Killer and a few other Woo Movies that he has done with Chow Yun Fat, which him himself is like bruce lee an excelent actor and does it really well. There is a lot of action, and I mean a lot of killing half of china town. Big Explosions, and awesome scenes where you shoot the signs down and make a huge mess, in fact you even get rewarded for the most damage after a mission.
A Little info, if you pick normal or something like that in your game making decision, it gets a little tougher, so if you have never played this game before and decide to pick it up and buy it, be warned, once you walk into a gun fight, just make sure you have the fastness of the Tequila time to take them out, it took me about 10 tries to finish one boss fight, but that's what made the game even more fun for me.
After all the jargon, this game is a must get. It is well scripted and even feels like a Lethal Weapon, mixed with a Rush Hour kind of feel, back when the 90's was all kill all gangsters or kung fu, which was the best era. A must get this game for your library of GOG games. This Game is very Retro.
Audience in question being either nostalgic for this mid-level XBOX360 release and people who really, really love stylish shooters. It'd be unfair to say that this is trying to be Max Payne (even though it very clearly is), consdidering how much Max Payne was inspired by John Woo and Hong Kong action movies, but as far as the gaming scene goes, this is the thrill it was trying to emulate.
The tone is on point and the action is solid. The problem is that the game has technical and core design issues. No controller support, bare-bones options menu, no subtitles, terrible default key-bindings (menu and in-game) and a sickening FOV. The action is frantic and enemies very shamelessly spawn from inside empty boxed rooms (with invisible walls) and all around you, so the camera that stuck to your back makes the gunplay quite literally nauseating.
I respect what it was going for and I appreciate the affection some people have for it, but for anyone not in that particular crowd, this is honestly a bit of a mess and you're better off replaying Max Payne.
I had forgotten how amazing this game is. It is an absolute classic which is running perfectly on Win 10. There has been nothing even close which been able to capture the pure carnage and cool of this game. This game is from bygone age which there was only rule when designing video games: the rule of cool. And everything from the main character to every small detail of every level is designed to simply be cool in how you annihilate your enemies.
A game you have to play and has aged beautifully.
