Pleasent Surprise

This demo is the first episode out of 4 in the full game. It is fairly short and can be finished in 15-30 minutes. The art direction and music are really good and it looks/sounds like the Netflix show Stranger Things, probably because some of the people worked on both game and the show. When I started the game I realized that it is a text adventure type. I am not new to the concept of text adventures and I used to play them as a kid 20+ years ago. At first I was a little bit bored and disappointed because I was expecting some type of point and click adventure, but I decided to give it a chance. After a 10 minutes of playing I was 100% dragged into it, scared and amazed how simple concept such as text adventure can be so effective. The atmosphere was great and I even jumped from my chair a few times. I think I will buy the full game because it's not very expensive and it is on the discount at this moment.

Waisted potential

Good idea and climate, quite good plot, nice mix of text game and realistic background. Very disappointing is the lack of opportunities for acting freely- it's so linear that it hurts, you have to use the exact words and actions as authors planned for a plot. Also, there is no reward in exploring- even though it's very much limited, you won't get any interesting info from most of actions.

Text adventure with graphic gimmick

My first computer game was Microsoft Adventure, and I've played most of the Infocom games. Taking a crude text adventure and rendering it in high resolution is torturous, especially when it types out messages very slowly, and most often that message is "sorry, I don't know what you want me to do ". The parser is very crude, and you just have to know to look around if you want any sort of room description. I ended up using a walkthrough so I wouldn't have to spend a moment longer than I had to to get to the gimmick, which turned out to be changes in the graphics, but at that point I was too aggravated with the horrible parser and slow responses to appreciate what the author was trying to do. I have no interest in finding out if the other chapters are any good.

Blast from the past

Very interesting concept. This demo contains first chapter of the game which is basically text horror adventure game. At first I thought it isn't my cup of tea. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I must say it is done very well. If you're not entirely sure about the full game, try this demo. It is worth your time.

Very short

I finished this episode in about five minutes - downloading and installing took longer than playing. It looks interesting, but I'l wait for a sale, would pay 5 $/EUR, not more.
