The game is lovely but is an absolute time and money eater. BEWARE THE DLC!! Do some research for what DLC's you want, set up alarms to monitor and manage your time, and you should be fine.

Bad Updates
I started a game a few weeks back and the constant updates have changed what I have built twice now. I had over 20 planets with clone vats, one update removed all of them, the next update, I can rebuild them but my game has been stunted because of this. I got the tech to build one class 3 Singularity, now this last update it is gone. It makes the game so frustrating to play, This game takes weeks/months to complete one game and these constant changes has made this game intolerable, you are lucky to get one star at this time.

Wanted to like it...
I wanted to like this, I did but didn't make it more than 15 minutes into it put off, first of all, by being required to go to the publisher's website and create an account. FFS, why? Once started, selected the hand-holding mode... game boots, and I get prompted to press f2 to open something, and that was it. Nothing to tell me what to do after I opened the something- the wee ai bot just ... went away. So did I at this point. Uninstalled.

great game but suffering at late stage
Gameplay is wonderful, but late game bug destroys a lot of fun, developing your empire, fighting, dicovering new technologies, it is all well done, but game is suffering from bad processing, especially in the late game stage you need to wait a lot for your processor to calculate the AI movemts, what is manifested by stops in movement of your fleets and generally prologing the time of gameplay.
