Plunge into the depths of STASIS: BONE TOTEM, the latest installment in the STASIS anthology.
A new story, new characters, and a new underwater environment to explore.
Follow Mac and Charlie, a husband and wife duo, who make their living scouring the ocean for salvage. But, when they stumble upon an abandoned oil rig in the Pacific Ocean, they uncover a horrific secret that Cayne Corporation will do anything to keep hidden.
As you embark on your adventure playing Mac, Charlie, and their trusty Super-Toy, Moses, you'll encounter an immersive narrative filled with spine-tingling horror and unexpected twists. Combining the thrilling storytelling of STASIS and a tense underwater setting, STASIS: BONE TOTEM offers a personal story that will test the limits of family resilience.
Navigate through a massive underwater base, complete intricate puzzles, and solve an ancient secret concealed at the bottom of the ocean. BONE TOTEM features the same isometric, point-and-click gameplay that made STASIS a classic fan favorite, but with a new cast and a unique setting that will leave you gasping for breath.
With stunning visuals, a music score by Mark Morgan, a screenplay written by a Hollywood ace, voice acting by veteran actors, and a gripping storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat - STASIS: BONE TOTEM is a must-play game for horror and sci-fi adventure fans.
So what are you waiting for? Dive into the unknown and uncover the BONE TOTEM beneath the waves.
Played through Stasis and Cayne. Loved both. This is a more than worthy successor. Film-Grade writing, delivered with skill and drama by fantastic voice actors. Moses was especially effective in tugging at the heart strings. But Faran and his fate are also equal parts creepy, existential and memorable. Expertly-crafted backgrounds / art. The PDA-Logs and their semi-animated employee portraits stick out in my mind.
Honestly I would be happy just to play something like this as an interactive movie without the puzzles. This will stick with me.
At times, the violence is hard to endure. But all characters feel deep and rich in lore. Great story. Some riddles are a bit difficult, but nothing crazy.
Played this with my partner. I personally played all the previous Brotherhood games and liked them too.
If you like very dark Sci-Fi, this is for you. If you are sensitive about... basically anything, you should stay away :D Lot's of gore and body horror in this one.
I would say this is their best effort yet. Very intriguing story/plot. Very nice pacing for the most part. There is always a clear goal and a sense of urgency. We both liked the characters, especially Moses. He is the smartest bear. Puzzles, for the most part, where quite enjoyable with hints on how to solve them available when inspecting the levels closely.
Sometimes the game is a little too talky with repeating points in the dialogue that really slow down the pace. The cut scenes have very strange framing. You are always very close to the characters or at an odd angle to the action. Quite hard to see and follow what is going on in them. The whole game is also a bit too dark on an OLED monitor. I personally also really disliked some of the character's faces. They just had an amateur 3D modeling look to them. A few puzzle solutions and item combinations we could only figure out by guessing.
Overall, very enjoyable point & click with some meat on it's bones. Would definitely recommend this.
I think they've really improved over the years, I just wish they'd fleshed out the cult a bit more. Due to the statues and everything, I originally hoped for some kind of ancient god or something, so the story was good but not great.
what a great game. I've played all previous titles from the Brotherhood and this one has an incredible production value, the visuals, story and audio are incredible
