Starcom Unknown Space
I love these kind of games, and this one is done right! The plot happens as you explore, often finding puzzles or solutions to those puzzles in random order. Plus space ships are cool.

Only played it for a couple pf hours but its a great turn to game when you're sick of being shot to death in FPS games.
