STAR WARS™ Rebellion

Great game - but the bugs make it hard to play right now. Didn't want to give too low a score to put people off, but can't wait for an update so it's actually playable!

Legendary game. ** Bugged ** Writing this at 13.12.2015 Part of ingame text is upside down and slightly out of place, Interractable elements of ui are upside down. Needs some update to be really playable.

Everything is upside down and this game is unplayable.

I'm thrilled with all of these LucasArts games making onto GOG. I've purchased more games in the past three months than in the past ten years. However, I will NOT buy Rebellion. This game is awful. Its slow, boring and will ruin you on classic John Williams cues. Everything else on here is gold, give it your money. But don't expect hours of fun with Rebellion. Just hours. It takes forever to do anything and once you happen to do something, it just isn't worth it. This was the first slide downhill for LucasArts- I didn't know that games COULD be bad until I played this game as everything I'd done up until then totally rocked. This does not.

This was a fun game in its time - I'm not sure how well it has aged and if you didn't play it originally I don't think you would find much in it since there are a lot of games of this type. Many of those games do the core mechanics and gameplay better from the same time period so it was earth-shattering when it came out. Just be prepared to lose yourself in a mass of windows. You will have so many open to try and accomplish what you are doing and management of them isn't the best especially late game. There is nothing else like it in the Star Wars universe so for that it is fun and if you want to play a 4X game with a Star Wars theme it is great for that. Some of the graphics were a little silly especially the space combat. I know what you are all thinking "I don't buy these games because of graphics" but when the graphics were lacking in its original release I think it is fair to bring them up.
