STAR WARS™: Knights of the Old Republic

So much has already been said about this game. It's fantastic with an epic story. So here's something you might not know; there's a sort of correct order in which to play this game that keeps the story fluid and unlocks certain events that you might not otherwise get if you miss things. I've played this game a few times, but only just now discovered this correct way. I highly recommend playing the game this way because it really adds to it. I've had this game in my collection for about 10 years, and it is one of the very few that I go back and play time and again. It is just as worthy of your time as <i> The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind</i> (which I also own and go back to over and over). Calling a game a classic doesn't just mean it's old - it means it is <b>great!</b> This is one of the original Classics! Now, if it was only possible to input an ISBN code or something, so my GOG shelf would recognize that I already own this!

I was itching to buy this game on GOG since the days of disc drives are behind us. However, on Windows 10 I experienced problems. 1. The avatar would freeze mid-combat or after combat, even when I had the option "move during combat" enabled. That made for a very unpleasant encounter with the TWO terantanteks. 2. It force closes when a cutscene plays. I turned down shadows, antialiasing etc. but I would have to restart the game multiple times to get around this. It was frustrating to do this after every single dogfight minigame or going up and down the elevator on Kashyyyk. 3. Sometimes it would skip the dialogue. Not a major issue but worth noting. I don't know if it was just a driver thing or the game's instability. Either way, I'm just giving a testimonial as a discretion to whoever looks upon this.

Played this as a kid, always loved star wars. Wanted to replay it now in 2020 - I gotta say, it really sucked me back in, played through the the whole thing, loved the content, has great writing, great voice acting and for any star wars fans this is a must-have that expands on the source material into earlier eras that are largely unfamiliar for the films (currently). One of the better (if not best) Star Wars games out there. Plus there's a sequel.

This beauty has aged like fine wine. Storyline is great, Voice acting is great gameplay and puzzles are great, Also, guess what? Everything including the graphcs are great and just *chefs kiss*. The adventures and exploring of it all is worth several playtroughs. Rest assured you will enjoy this game and it's wonders.
