the game in windows 10 don't work.
the game is unstable. it breaks every time it is used.
you have to download the file EAW_RAM_MPLobby_update to upgrade the performance.
but continues to fail.
the game has serious performance problems. and its stability is questionable.
even so it's a shame because it's a great game. but I will not install windows 98 to play it.
I'm disappointed that gog sells a game that does not work on windows 10.
sometimes even the saved games are corrupted.
do not buy it (if you have windows 10). thanks.
This game is good but as a star wars and strategy games fan there is something in this game I cannot stand. To be honest, it's may be the game that didn't pass well through the years, but after a couple of hours of gaming I'm already done and I uninstall it.
I remember playing Empire at War with my friends at LAN parties. We would sit in the pool house at a friend's place and spend hours renaming exe files, downloading and recombining patches, reconfiguring our memory, changing monitors, cables, and compatibility mode settings, get sick of it, then go play Savage-Battle for Newerth instead. Good times.
Bought it on sale here on GOG and am very glad to see nothing has changed. Now, I'm off to go play some other game that will actually run and cherish my memories of my childhood.
