STAR WARS™ Dark Forces (Classic, 1995)

I guess this would be a very great game, if not for the more than aweful controls It looks cool and stuff, but imho unplayable. If there'd be a way to modify the controls (you can't change them!) it could be fun... May be a Joypad would make it enjoyable, but I won't buy one just to play a single game. It can't be that hard to implement an option to alter controls. Every game allows that...

This game is unoptimized and can't be played, It almost seems like this game was uploaded to get a quick buck, I heard that GOG was suppose have a team that optimizes the games before uploading them for sale. The game either crashes or causes my Desktop to freeze. This is unacceptable especially at a sale price of a dollar.

I remember how I had to work to finish certain levels and had a blast exploring them! I picked up the game the day it came out at the local Radio Shack and spent the next week playing as much as I could. One of my all time favorite gaming memories!! Buy it and enjoy!

I have been dying to play this again for years. I'm a mac user and my copy is way too old to run in current OS. Please someone make it happen!

So who was the IDIOT that thought "huurrrrdurrrrr lets NOT put ANY mid-level save facility in this game to piss players off by forcing them to do our uber-complicated maze like levels ALL in one go without mistakes"? No saving make this game brain explodingly frustrating. Add to that the migraine inducing low-res VGA and disgustingly bad controls, which are NOT customisable. It's a piece old shit quite frankly.
