Star Trek™: Voyager - Elite Force

A great product of its time. Well worth it still today.

I still have the big box but was hoping that eventually we would also see a digital release to just install and play without any hassle. This day has finally come! I have very fond memories of this being a shooter with one of the best stories and so far my recollection has not been disappointed. While it runs fine on modern machines on higher resulutions with some tweaking done, maybe a remaster would be in order? :)

Fantastic game - my favourite FPS and also by far the best Trek game I have ever played! It has everything in just the right amounts: - Game concept 5/5 (playing through like a full extended episode of Voyager) - Level design 5/5 - Story 5/5 - Pacing 5/5 - Cinematics 5/5 - Voice acting by original cast 5/5 - Weapons 5/5 - Fighting 5/5 (just love the Phaser secondary fire, my favourite weapon of all time ;) It is just pure joy to play again even after 22 years, I really hope they would make more games like this today!

The game's built on the Quake III engine, so it had great visuals, great performance, and best in class mouse "feel" in shooting games of the era. It also featured a great Star Trek storyline, awesome weapons, and great multiplayer which I used to have a lot of fun playing vs bots. Despite the expansion pack being poorly reviewed, I've been seeking it out forever and FINALLY gog.com has come to the rescue. A no brainer purchase for me.

The team did an excellent job making it feel like a playable episode of Voyager. Everything from the cinematics to the music feels just like an episode of the series. Though for as many weapons as you acquire, you sure don’t have very much to shoot at. Enemy AI could have been given some more variety. Still, for a licensed title, Raven Software did a very good job. That the cast of Voyager participated in this makes it even better.
