Star Trek™: Starfleet Command III

Love the game, but basically unplayable on Windows 11. Any mouse movement causes the cursor to vanish and the game to hang up.

Game runs fine with very easy changes that others point out and give perfect advice.

Just play Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates. The game this is a modification of. SFC3 was rushed out in under a year to meet to release date of Star Trek Nemesis. One of the worst movies to grace the franchise and the end of TNGmania for at least a decade. SFC OP is actually content complete, features X variant ships, and is plenty moddable compared to this piece of shit. Dynaverse is the only place to buy a copy of it these days.

I unfortunately could not get into this game. The controls are clunky, the interface is muddled and unintuitive, and the overall gameplay is bland. I was really excited because I remembered this series fondly but it just doesn't hold up outside of nostalgia. Two stars for the dialogue being fully voiced and the extensive campaign.

I'm posting this here as some of you have reached out following the download of this game. I'm hopeful GOG will produce a universal patch to correct Windows 10 compatibility issues.
