GoG ST Hidden Evil working on Win10 Rig

9/8/2021 Star Trek Day, TOS first aired 9/8/1966. Just downloaded GoG ST Hidden Evil and it is working (did not have to tweak any settings) fine on my desktop rig. Win10 Home, v10.0.19043 Build 19043 AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core Processor 4 Core AMD Radeon RX5700XT 8GB vRAM GPU 48GB RAM (Not a typo, forty-eight GB)

Won't Work - No Support From Gog

I was so excited to play this since I haven't played it since I was a kid. Game loads up to the main menu but anytime I try to launch a new game, I get an error saying "Couldn't load geometry". Other players have complained about the same thing in the community forum with no answers Asked Gog for support but they only gave generic solutions, none of which worked. Really disappointed.
