Star Trek™: Armada

This was a great game at its time and now it works on modern machines again. It won't work right after the download. You need to check the additional executables in GOG Launcher and open DirectX Settings. Try different settings until you get it running with a fully visible main menu. The resolution etc actually change once you're in a game and playing, so don't sweat it if it looks crap in the main menu, start up a game to see if it's working right.

This is a great game and its holding up very well compared to my memory of it. My only problem is that while its fine on a desktop on my laptop I cant play it because i cant zoom or rotate with out a keypad.

I've missed this game for a long time however the only issue that i ahev ran into is that whenever i go into the menu from anywhere all sound goes out

...until a ship explodes. Then the entire game slows down and the mouse won't move. Tried changing all the settings variables. Using Crossover. Anyway, except for that, the game works and plays just fine.

I loved this game back in the day and was super excited to see it available in hd. Unfortunately it's not without it's problems. I installed it and everything seemed to work. I booted it up and saw the splash screen, then the whole screen was cut off and went black except for the top left quarter of the screen. It was like this all the way to the game menu, cinematics and all. I got this hoping it was fixed to work with new operating systems, I actually still own the original copies from 20 years ago. I really hope there's a fix soon. I want to play this again.
