Discover the grim dark universes of Warhammer where there is only war. From Warhammer 40,000 to Warhammer Fantasy and more - discover it all on GOGs Warhammer Franchise page.

Space Hulk: Deathwing – Enhanced Edition - Deluxe, includes the base game and the Official Soundtrack.

Space Hulk: Deathwing - Enhanced Edition is a First-Person Shooter based on Games Workshop’s cult classic board game set in Warhammer 40,000 universe. Expanding upon the original game, and featuring a host of new content, new features and a richer multiplayer mode, the Enhanced Edition is the ultimate Space Hulk: Deathwing experience.

Play as a Terminator of the Deathwing – the feared 1st Company comprised of the elite of the secretive Space Marine Chapter, the Dark Angels – and engage in a desperate battle against Genestealers, within the claustrophobic confines of a Space Hulk. Grow stronger, gaining skills, new abilities, and powerful equipment as you earn experience across perilous missions. The Enhanced Edition brings a host of fresh features to enjoy in both solo and multiplayer: a new class, an expanded arsenal, deadly new enemies, a deep online customisation system, and a new Special Missions mode bringing infinite replayability with randomly-generated missions for every game chapter.

Strap on your Terminator armour and equip the iconic weaponry of the Space Marines to overcome the threats lurking deep within Space Hulk Olethros!

New in the Enhanced Edition:
  • Play as a Space Marine Terminator, including a powerful new class - the Chaplain and his powerful Crozius Arcanum power mace.
  • Customize each class in solo and multiplayer and unlock devastating weapons, including an expanded arsenal exclusive to the Enhanced Edition.
  • Plunge into the Space Hulk and experience a desperate battle against the Genestealers, including new, deadlier enemies.
  • Special Missions bring infinite replayability to both solo and multiplayer modes, with randomly-generated objectives and enemy spawns for every game chapter.

Cross-platform multiplayer is supported.

Good multiplayer game for 40k fans

Story and gameplay are alright. The game really shines in atmosphere (like huge cathedral style maps) and it is fun to play in multiplayer (especially on hardest mode after learning the maps). The singleplayer gameplay has some AI issues, like team mates not coming into the room you want to lock. The enhanced edition fixed some other gameplay issues (playability with gamepad, usability of weapons, ...) and introduces an additional character (the Chaplain) which basically obsoletes the tactical Terminator with better, similar skills. To keep motivation up, completing online missions allows unlocking player/weapon skins and weapon upgrades (like faster reload)

Fantastic co-op experience

First of all, I have this game on Steam, not on GOG. This game showed me how cool the WH40k universe is and I fell in love with it. Space Hulk Deathwing is a really great game, especially in multiplayer/co-op mode. It's challenging and difficult, but provides a lot of fun. The graphics are great and along with the sound design , I know some people complain about it, but in my opinion they build a fantastic atmosphere. Keeping your team strong is VERY important, as losing even one squad member drastically reduces your chances of survival. Unfortunately, bots are not present in multiplayer, so I think you need at least 2 friends, because each character class is really important, and healer is even essential. I would complain about one thing though, bots, they are not among the smartest . You have to give them the order to heal, they don't do it on their own when its needed unfortunately, and using the command wheel during combat can cost you virtual lives (that's why it's worth learning and remembering the keyboard shortcuts). The game is really amazing and I highly recommend it, especially when it is at such a good price as at the time of writing this review :).

Fantastic atmospheric shooter in WH 40K

Yes the game is fantastic and very atmospheric - with good graphics for the fans of good looks, VERY good audio - I love all the sounds, atmospheric and very powerful weapon shooting and walking around in the bulky power armor. Good Soundtrack - not interrupting, not warning you and not annoying. Music, sound, story and the graphics style really immerse you in the Warhammer 40 000 universe with all it's details like goriness, hopelessness and gothic feeling. You really feel like you are in Warhammer 40k and you are part of the Imperium of man on a mission like it should be. Missions are good, the story is good and makes sense. There is no "modern day" nonsense. Only Warhammer things for Warhammer fans in Warhammer universe. You are a brother in the squad and you are there to do job with the other brothers from the chapter. Definitively deserves the money. Nothing brakes the immersion. Cooperative play in multiplayer is really good indeed and adds to the feelings. No loot-boxes and no micro-transactions - which is also another fantastic thing - you unlock and get perks skins and all else through hard work. No "money please". Replay-ability also is good - with the new perks and skins we get new combinations and little good things that allow us to play again with some different skills and perks. The only not so much perfect thing I can say is that the multiplayer is not really adjustable - there is no local server LAN mode, and if you are far from others - you have lag (this can arguably be from me and to be my problem). Also it is not possible to see who is in the game you want to join until you do it and I was not able to see for example reserved slots or ban function in lobby. So basically I do not agree with any critics opinion regardless be they top open or what not. Seems the other reviews support this notion too, but that is not for the first time as we all know and will not be the last for sure. Good work Games Workshop!

They're Upon Me!!

Space Hulk DeathWing looks spectacular and also sounds excellent too, very atmospheric throughout and can get pretty tough in parts but still enjoyable and even more so in co op. This is like playing an absolutely top notch remake of Vengeance of the Blood Angels which was the game that got me into Warhammer in the first place when i had a 3DO many years ago and enjoyed the hell out of it. If you love Warhammer and FPS games with some co op involved then do not miss out on this. 8/10

Solid game

This is a good game with great production value, but be mindful that it's very specifically designed to mimic the feeling of the Space Hulk board game - it's not a standard shooter, it's a shooter with a lot of slow-paced exploration involved. So the immersion is good but it can feel "boring" if you don't know what moving around in a Terminator Armor would feel like. Also, as a side note, it's worth mentioning that the multiplayer WILL NOT work if you lend your DRM-free version to a friend - they have to own their own copy, even on GOG, it seems. I tried to run a game with my son, and copied the game on his computer so we could play together, and for him the "Multiplayer" button just doesn't work - while for me it works no problem. No option to go LAN-only either. For this limitation I lowered my review by one start because it's not clear on the store page that this requirement exists.
