Sound of Drop - fall into poison -

This is a straightforward VN in the "Choose Your Own" adventure style. It's a horror game with a lot of bad ends and a few good ends. The plot of this is similar to The Grudge, and involves an aquarium under a curse due to a tragedy that occurred there. The music and art are top notch, and the story details are fun to uncover. After completing the game, the "fall into poison" storyline becomes available. If you like Visual Novels like The House in Fata Morgana or Higurashi: When They Cry or Stein's; Gate I'll recommend this one. I didn't buy this one on GoG because I don't think it was available on GoG when I bought it, so I'm hoping it will be a success here.

Very interesting interactive story with lots of atmosphere. At first, it comes as bits of urban legends about an aquarium with lots of strong and vivid imagery that let my imagination running. The atmosphere ranges from worrying to gore,to grotesque, to eerie to uncanny... At first, the story is a bit confusing when you read it for the first time, it comes with bits of urban legends & stories told by protagonists and bits of strange experiences as they reach the mysterious aquarium. But the aura of mystery is enough to keep you going, and at some points, pieces of the puzzle start to come together and by the time you reach your first "good ending" (probably 3 or 4 hours into the game), you'll have figured out most of the story, that is rather interesting, and made of fascinating bits of urban legends. One of the best VN I've read, for atmosphere characters and story.

This game is a horror story. If you can't stand gore, stay away from this. The story is inevitably gruesome in that the main character will die in many of the endings. However if you persevere you will be rewarded with the true endings. These are very emotional stories. So while it's not a good experience most of the time, it IS worthwhile! It's definitely worth it, even at full price!

Honestly, this is pretty boring. The translation is bad too and the writing feels stilted and not at all how someone actually speaks. Luckily, it seems the endings are pretty short.
