Bring the authentic Tabletop gaming experience to your PC!
Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
Key Features:
An Epic Team Adventure
Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm - and stop it from happening again.
Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition. Breathe life into your heroes, and see their personalities reflected in their dialogue. Tailor your squad to your preferred strategy and maximize your party's abilities. The choice is yours.
Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Dungeon Maker
In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find – down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing – everything is decided by you.
Note that the Dungeon Maker is a work in progress and will keep being improved as time goes by, so look forward to more Dungeon Maker features in the future!

I have only been playing for a few days (and my characters are level 4), but I think this is a really great game.
I was an AD&D Dungeon Master in my 20s and 30s and I think this a brilliant computer adaptation of the game.
I caught Solasta: Crown of the Magister on sale and picked it up, not really thinking much about it. Downloaded the 'base' game and began playing. Wow, just wow. Went back and bought all the add-ons and DLC at full price. Both as a way to broaden the scope and throw some 'thank you' to the creators. Unlike a LOT of games, choices in character creation really do affect gameplay repeatedly. From the beginning, your characters' personalities dictate their outlook (and voiced comments), crafting abilities and, to a point, how NPC's react to them. Awesome job!
After trying the game through the Microsoft subscription service, it took one playing session to make me come to the conclusion that I needed to run over to gog and purchase such a great game. Do not get me wrong, the game is not perfect. The flaws that are there are fixable, and the game has just recently been released.
The graphics for the game need a little work, but for the genre that this game is in, the most important part of the graphics are pretty spot on. The character's armor is good, but the models of the actual characters (and their hair) leave a bit to be desired. The rest of the game is more than serviceable.
The gameplay is good, with the 5e rule set (SRD) being pretty straightforward in application. This is really close to PnP 5e. It can't be exactly like 5e b/c WotC branding. That means that some of the things that you normally think of when playing PnP 5e, like arcane archer for a fighter will be missing.
All in all, considering the size of the dev team, this is an awesome game.
Solasta has been a fantastic adventure. Even though my party of adventurers were custom created, I felt as though each of them had their own personality and interacted together like a group of friends sitting around table on a Saturday night.
I did play with some mods that allowed multiclassing, which did add a lot to the experience and I would like to see multiclassing added as an official feature in further updates or future games.
I really look forward to the new campaign coming in a month or so. I will be buying the DLC on day one, and know that I will love creating a new band of adventurers for the new adventure.
I have played Baldur's Gate 3, and enjoyed it, but found Solasta to be a more authentic D & D experience. I really hope there will be lot more updates or similar games from Tactical Adventures in the future.
Just finished the game. i did buy the primal calling pack as well so i had more options on it. the game is very balanced and true to the core rules of 5th edition. the settings for the game with regards to story mode difficultly and up do make a huge difference. i have been playing DnD a very long time and appreciate the added use of encumbrance and needing to eat when travelling. character creation is important too and very well done. picking the personality of each makes interaction funny as each is unique when dealing with NPCs. the story is immersive and has many challenges that make you think. at no point is the game do you get trapped in an area, just explore more to find a way out (happened to me with my dwarf who couldnt climb walls). over all it was very fun, the graphics were ok, the turn based and tile battle system is very similar to FGU or miniature battles when playing table top. any fan of DnD will enjoy the game.
i did have 1 hiccup with the game freezing in the final battle that was annoying as i had to restart from the save point just before and then redo the whole thing. that was the only glitch i experienced though. oh, the game does not use flanking so no adv if you do, minor though.
