Pros
- Relaxing atmosphere with satisfying 3D platforming challenges (not too hard, nor too easy)
- Wholesome story
- Charming characters
- Adorable aesthetic
- Pixel filter settings (can be turned off completely)
- Good pacing, no artificial padding
- Good gameplay flow: never felt lost or unsure what to do next, but also felt free to explore organically, no railroading
- Mushrooms!!!
Cons
- Pretty short
I can't really fault this game for anything. Smushi Come Home achieves everything it set out to do, and does it wonderfully. My only complaint is that I wish it lasted longer!
Some might find the game too easy. Most of the 3D platforming challenges are on the gentle side, and I never felt lost for what to do next. And the game has a forgiving nature (you're never really set back if you fail a challenge or miss a jump).
Personally, I think it was perfect, as more of a challenge would have clashed with its laid-back aura. This is the perfect game to chill with after a long day, and its sweet attitude will lift your spirits during trying times.
A beautiful little game. Lovely setting, characters and aesthetic, and some enjoyable platforming. I wuold 100% recommend to anyone looking for a heartwarming game about a mushroom.
I think I'll go forage some mushrooms now!
(tis a joke, novices please don't forage without an experienced guide)

Fantastic game, polished and well thought out. I really appreciated the inclusion of some actual mycology knowledge rather than simply "character is a mushroom" It would have been easy to have a bunch of vaguely mushroom shaped models not based on anything real and gloss over it entirely with no one being the wiser. I'm glad this wasn't the case.
It is short, but honestly I don't think that's a bad thing and it does feel worth it's full price (shame so many people often associate length alone with a games worth but here we are). The art style is both pleasant and consistent all the way through and the characters are charming without their dialogue feeling too patronizing (something I was a bit worried about going in).
All-in-all an easy recommend if you are looking for a new chill game to play, especially if you are a mycology buff.
