Although it's slightly rough around the edges, and packs the occasional bug, Sleeping Dogs is nevertheless a gripping and thoroughly entertaining Hong Kong action movie in game form.

A flawed masterpiece of atmosphere
Not perfect, but entertaining story and great city atmosphere. Listen to some city pop and just drive around the city on a highway, absolute bliss. I do wish, it was fully in cantonese, instead of just random curse words here and there. Also, the subtitles are way too small, from what I remember (it's been a while, since I played it). And it has James Hong (although I recall his role being fairly small). I didn't like the demo on PS3, back in the day, but when I finally bought it on GOG years later, it become one of my personal "not perfect" favourites. I would love to play the sequel, but unfortunately it was canceled and the studio closed down :(
