Sine Mora EX

The graphics and cutscenes are amazing. The 2.5D WITH cutscenes before boss fights (reminded me a bit of Bionic Commando: Rearmed) and intro the each chapter were well placed. More, that the storyline, although a bit heavy (definitely not a child's game) in its context was well-intended. The monent I saw the words imperial and bougeois had I realized the storyoine was heavier then a usual shoot'em up scroller. True that it is heavier, but a game is but just a game. Graphics was a solid 4 to 5 stars, while the storyline was 3 to 4 (higher due to my appreciation of never forgetting reality in what empires had traditionally done to its surrounding nation/states). I enjoyed it. Getting my butt kicked, but this will be an eye-opener. Give it a go!

I bought this game the second that i noticed it for sale on GOG, and would have gladly paid 3 times more than the asking price, even though i already own both versions on Steam and have played them to death over the years. It really is that good. I have been a hardcore SHMUP player for over 25 years, and Sine Mora is easily one of the most beautiful, intuitive and engaging games that i have ever played in the genre. It would be a real shame if other shooter fans missed the opportunity to play this gem, as it is a true classic.

Well, first of all - SHMUP's are not really my thing. I don't have the reflexes nor persistence. My interest usually doesn't last long enough to "git gud". However, this weird little gem caught my attention long enough - probably thanks to its totally over the top story and characters. It was fun and ridiculous jpourney, not too long (which is a good thing from my point of view. Try it, maybe you'll like it :)
