Description


You found the lost phone of a woman named Anna. In it, you see a desperate cry for help in the form of a video message. The phone behaves strangely as you dive deeper into it. You talk to her friends and they have no idea where she is. Her texts, emails and photo gallery provides fragments of information. It's up to you to piece it together.

Recover lost files, piece back corrupted data, and retrace her final steps. Find her before it's too late.

Simulacra 2 is a worthy sequel and an immersive take on the role that our digital presence has in defining who we are. The different playable characters help to give a different perspectives to the sotyr and the suspects are sufficiently flawed to keep you guessing as to where blame may lie, but the wider cast of characters don't feel as focussed as the original. While the virus in question here is completely digital, it's uncannily topical given our enforced switch to virtual interactions.

Simulacra is surprisingly engaging for a game that takes place completely on the screen of a found smart phone. With well-drawn characters, a gripping story, and one foot planted firmly in the real world, the suspense of Simulacra entertains quite well. Never truly chilling, Simulacra is nonetheless a unique suspense mystery that is well worth a look.

SIMPLE BUT SCARY!

SIMULACRA is a good narrative horror with a good immersive story. You're really interesting in Anna's fate, you're looking into her mails or DM's and confronting with a few people which are close to her. Sometimes, however, the sh*t's go on, the screen gets glitchy and you experience a weird anomaly which is scary as hell in contrast to slower, silenced part of the game (searching for data). It's short, you accomplish in about 5 hours, but SIMULACRA has a few endings, so you might want to play again to set some of your decisions in different ways.

Can't run at all

I have gaming laptop Ryzen 9, Nvidia 4070 mobile, external 4K display. I only get black screen of death that jumps between external and internal display even though internal display should not even be in use. After around 15 minutes on that display ping pong, I get back to windows desktop.

Really good, but could be better

I admired it from the start, though the main twist (I mean the one about who is antagonist) became a bit obvious in about the middle. It's the first game in this genre I play, and I had some certain doubts before buying it, but it was a sale, so I thought to give it a try, and never regreted. It SHOULD be played only in the dark and with headphones on, no other way will give you SUCH experience. But it has one major drawback — a horrible shortage of dialog variants. The final, most scary talk, could be much scarier, if it was more unpredictabe with some different lines, not one same line told three different ways.

What in the Hell?

What did I just play? Maybe the PC version is different than the cell phone version, but this game was bad in my opinion. This was basically like you found a stranger's cell phone and you get texts from people you don't know, talking about stuff you don't know or care about. The acting is horrible and the content is uninspired and uninteresting. I felt like I was just watching a series of infomercials.
