I remember the sensation of excitement that I felt when I realised this game was being sold here, so much so that I didn't even wait for a sale. It was money well spent. Glad to say this game runs like a charm on Windows 8, even with several Firefox browser windows open (with several tabs open within each of them), it is just that stable and undemanding. Only really issue is that it doesn't scale well to modern screen resolutions, but I found a solution that works for me quickly enough. Years ago I originally received a CD copy of the game as a present from my father, and I just played it for hours and hours. Whilst my first cities would fall into crippling debt, I didn't care- I was having so much fun. As I became more accquainted with and accustomed to the game's mechanics my enjoyment increased even further as I found new and different ways of creating cities big and small. Some of these previous creations are still around, and I was able to copy them over to my current computer and visit them once again. Pretty good going for a product that is almost 20 years old now...

Fast scrolling makes it impossible to play. I tried with mouse and arrow keys. Pity:(

Simcity 2000, 3000 and 4 are the only Simcity Titles I cared about. Now with 3000 finally being available, the "forgotten entry" of the series can be explored by a whole new generation of players. I loved 3000. The gameplay, the music, the art design and the landmarks. I played this game nearly everyday after school from 2004-2006ish. Such a fantastic game. I remember coming home to my hand-me-down Windows 2000 white box computer to play this game. Memories <3

Many SimCity fans will have experienced the aged original SimCity 3000 code crashing their game on modern operating systems however this is different! Its pretty much a updated copy of the game for modern computers that works perfectly like once it originally did! It runs well using Windows 10 and avoids those game crashes in-game that most modern systems experience with the aged coding that isnt updated. It also still includes the Building Architect tool and Scenario Editor which also work fine. The only downside is that it only supports 4:3 resolutions however its easily managable. Overall it works perfectly and allows people like me to relive their childhood! Thanks GOG! XD
