SimCity™ 3000 Unlimited

It works on Windows 10 but I buyed it to play on my Windows XP computer (Asus M2n68-am se2, AMD Sempron 140, 3Gb Ram, IDE Hard Disk 80Gb) and after installing it asks for a missing dll archive. I risked my computer and download it and placed it, but now it has another file missing. Normally games here don't give me any problems. GOG RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 works on that same computer and GOG Diablo works on a even older I had some time ago, so It's a shame that this doesn't

Runs great on a variety of systems, it has GOG Cloud saves if you want that and most important of all, it is still lots of fun.

Wasn't even born when this released but decided try it out for the first time. Needless to say I'm hooked!

The fact is, some games become immortal parents of a genre for a reason. SimCity embodies that concept, and this iteration is no exception! It may lack some of the more complex options and troubles of the later games, but this is where I feel SC really hit its stride. The earlier games were charming, but this is possibly the first time that playability and enjoyment matched the nostalgic fervor! Happy Building, and may you be showered with simoleons!

I remember the sensation of excitement that I felt when I realised this game was being sold here, so much so that I didn't even wait for a sale. It was money well spent. Glad to say this game runs like a charm on Windows 8, even with several Firefox browser windows open (with several tabs open within each of them), it is just that stable and undemanding. Only really issue is that it doesn't scale well to modern screen resolutions, but I found a solution that works for me quickly enough. Years ago I originally received a CD copy of the game as a present from my father, and I just played it for hours and hours. Whilst my first cities would fall into crippling debt, I didn't care- I was having so much fun. As I became more accquainted with and accustomed to the game's mechanics my enjoyment increased even further as I found new and different ways of creating cities big and small. Some of these previous creations are still around, and I was able to copy them over to my current computer and visit them once again. Pretty good going for a product that is almost 20 years old now...
