An Interesting Take on Silent Hill
I would argue that, of the first four Silent Hill entries, Silent Hill 4 is the most unique in how it chooses to play with the series' formula. Despite a few hiccups throughout the game, such as the second half's return to the building world & apartment world, it creates such a fascinatingly haunting atmosphere as you continue to play. It was the first in the series to *truly* unnerve me with its sound mixing & eerie cutscenes (many of which are very reminiscent of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Pulse"), & for that, it earned such a special place in my heart.

The well made finale of the quattro
I just finished the game recently, I really liked it, what felt slightly different in the beginning brought me a familiar feeling and experience from previous parts later in the game. I was horrified with some cutscenes in between levels, those were really disturbing due to the way they were “filmed” in almost deep-fried quality. Story is interesting, though in the middle of the game you may find yourself a bit confused, because it’s not that easy to keep up with all reminiscences of the other characters. But it all connects and unfolds in an interesting, somewhat two sided story. The addition of the 1-st person gameplay diversifies the game in a way that perfectly works for the game world. Overall, that’s a great release, a few bugs (very rapid Richard's attacks and black screen with only UI visible after switching to other windows in full screen mode, only save reload worked as a fix). Sad fact that this is the only game of the original quadrilogy that’s available for a purchase on PC, but thanks GOG for such an opportunity.

The game that Inspired PT
Been wanting to play this for years and finally got the chance! only issue ive had is through the controller compatibility (using a ps5 dualsense) had no issues initally but suddenly all buttons changed and when i thought i fixed the issues the item selection was being spammed as i moved - turns out deleting my driver for the controller - reinstalling driver via usb and rebooting pc fixed my issues. Now onto the game would i recommend 100% creepy, eery and nostaligic, its very easy to see where our modern day games and PT where heavily influenced by this, love the haunting system.
