As good as I remember
Good tutorial, fun solo play, No internet services, but might be able to multiplayer on a local network. Start small, two or three cars each route, double tracking stations. Four tracks max per station. Upgrading depot to station and to terminal. Work annexes so they can increase their capacities, all while keeping an eye on the markets and everyone's stock prices. Buy them all out, profit!

Excellent game to chill out to, but....
Game constantly crashes, I have fixed the issue before but you need to alter the memory settings using a hex editor. There is a method on the steam website https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1349679487 Its pretty straight forward to follow.

Game are GREAT but only Single Player
Sid Meier's Railroads! it's BEST GAME of train simulator ever made in history! But gog version have single player only! You do not know what decreases the long-term playability. The multiplayer is well known bug on Windows 7 and above. On Steam is present railroads with multiplayer support but creates many problems: Especially in multiplayer with 4 players. I possess already Sid Meier's Railroad on the Steam platform, but I would pay any price to get this game without multiplayer bugs with OS 64bit full support! Natively Sid Meier's Railroads! Supports LAN and INTERNET mode, I was able to create a virtual machine with Windows XP and DirectX 9c support, I was able to play fairly with 2 players, but it is impossible to complete a 4-player game. PLEASE GOG PATCH THIS FANTASTIC GAME!!!!!!!!!

Sid Meier's Railroads
Decent game. A bit cartoon'ish but ... Dislikes? I do not like how the rails do not 'double up' when you build bridges side by side, nor how you can change/smooth out the gradiants in hills/bridges decently (very abrupt hills, especially on the end of bridges). Improvement could/should be made.

If you love RT3, pass this game up. If you prefer RT2, this may be more to your liking.
