Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
The game itself ok, but control is awful, trying to get deep into the game, but immersion is broken by double/triple mouse clicking and also there is no hotkeys for run, simulate and other operations/functions.
It looks like a CAD but without comfort.
The title already give back what I am thinking about the game.
The idea is great the game setting is good, the goal is clear.
You are programmer for micro-controller, who is joining a company in Shenzhen and as a programmer you have to find solutions for customers.
So far so good, the puzzles are mostly nice, and the emulation environment in the game appears to can be found quite similar in the reality. If I had this game during my schooltime, I maybe had shown it to my teachers, who had been really interested in it.
BUT they had also to criticized the documentation like I do now, and the lack of reality.
But first documentation, which you get as PDF.
When you are starting to read it you get the instructions to print it and " assembling a binder that you can refer to as you play". I am lucky that I did not do this right now, otherwise I would be more frustrated. The documentation is less then 47 pages long, but after I looked for my documenation about PIC-micro-controller from school, I still have, it is less then 30 pages long and complete.
Therefore there is in my opinion no excuse for the missing detail explanations with examples about the most important feature with any micro-controller the bus
The "xbus", without understanding it, you cannot solve the most puzzles in the mid and late game.
If you are starter with micro-controller you also read about it, because it is the way a micro-controller can communicate properly with other one or extensions ("shields"). The most series of micro-controller can also enslaved another one, but I am sure that it is not possible that 2 micro-controller can send data to one "shield" in the same moment (data-collision problem).
Therefore I thought myself I should be able to find a solution by myself but I was wrong. I had to look into a "Let's play"-video, since then I know, this game it is mostly only another game not a decent emulation for starter in micro-controller.
Therefore only 3 of 5 stars.
DO NOT BUY THIS, IT does NOT interesting as it looks like.
When I learn Pascal at school, my teacher told me, your program should be the universal functioning, what ever the data input, must should process the data correctly. Though I'm doing my own website and electric coding with js/html, but they are same principle to the solution, I just don't like to write codes not bc I can't.
I'm also a experienced person and game player, to say.
The stage 3 "Pulse Generator", 3rd group of pulsing has 1 more pulse in required, and break the stage itself's original design intention. I know that needs a resetter, but I refuse to do that.
In real life no one will design program like that, if that operation applied in real life, the light should blink the half time (slp .5 in game) or faster.
THE PROGRAM SHOULD BE DESIGNED TO FUNCTION, NOT TO DRAW SQUARE WAVES, the first level "Random Blink" it not provide a random time selector or order.
It providing the Chinese language booklet, but doesn't that good, the game-using coding language is not standard language which raising the difficulty to play. Booklet is low efficient wrote, and the game doesn't has tutorial, or code block likes those we can drag and drop in "HUMAN RESOURCE MACHINE". Useless repeatly human operations, tired.
The orders are not complete and not easy to use. Music is noisy, UI and operation is poor and unfinished. Chinese ui is also Worse than the English one. :(
The solitary card game is NOT designed, after 5 dead shuffle, finally won a round.
