4 PCs vs Small Armies
The first few hours I played were interesting and drew me into the world sufficiently. However, even the opening mission, I had concerns about enemy reinforcements as a 'gameplay mechanic.' I brushed it off because the rest of the RPing elements were cool and I enjoyed working on my MC's build. But then after about 3 missions and the recurring trend of gobs of enemies showing up out of nowhere without warning, the vibe was killed for me. The game is average at best, but when enemies just constantly show up in the middle and ends of fights, it's not tactical. I spend my resources based on each encounter and, if I can't assess the threat and my approach, it's simply rubbish. I could replay the fights with a posteriori knowledge and probably beat them. But after spending 30-40 minutes on a series of fights that would not end, only to die when a new wave of enemies respawned, I decided that was my line. I stopped caring. I'm not replaying long, barely interesting combat sections because 'GOTCHA!' was added in. If a GM did this kind of crap during any tabletop sessions, I'd flip their table in a heartbeat. I guess I'm glad I got the trilogy during a giveaway. I don't recommend actually paying anything for these games. The UGCs I've seen don't seem to justify even giving a download.

Pretty Good but Barely an RPG
Solid cyberpunk turn-based combat game. Just finished it and the game is really linear with no exploration but still a fun play through. Above average writing and gameplay and would suggest if you like the setting.

Nice writing, enjoyable game
I don't finish many games, but this one kept me going throughout. At several occasions I was positively surprised by the quality of the writing or the choices and their consequences. There was nothing that really bothered me. As the limits of the game world became more evident the attachments to the characters and the story had increased to counter that. Enjoyable game and a smooth experience.

it's cyberpunk with elves and dwarfs
if you like more than one of the following - old-school story-driven dialogue-heavy rpg-s (baldur's gate, planescape torment) - tactical turn-based shooting (x-com, fallout) - cyberpunk worlds (blade runner, matrix) then play this game it's probably the strongest in the trilogy and one of the best games i've played in this century beware: there is no voice acting, so if you don't like to read, then it's gonna suck - it's like a sci-fi/fantasy novel with some very fun combat scenes the difficulty on normal setting is reasonably casual - not too hard, but punishes you for being reckless and forces you to use different abilities of your party members the story is awesome and some dialogue choices matter a lot if you've already played shadowrun returns, then this is better in every way - longer and more polished
