Learn the UI and play this great game!
This is one of the deepest and best Leader Simulations ever created. You will pull the strings of politics, economy and military trying to build the state of your dreams You can forge your own political/social/economic system. You want military dictatorship with free market and scientific elites? Or maybe you prefer communism tailored for international trade? It is all up to you You create an army on operational level. Starting from just a few militia platoons ending up with 15 divisions of different types, generals, nukes, jets and satelites Each game takes place on a different planet. You can have an Earth-like one or... a moon with no atmosphere if you want. Just remember that planes do not fly wihtout an atmosphere ;) The only disadvantage of this game is the UI. Don't get me wrong... It is good... But you probably have never seen something like this before and it requires some learning. Once you learn it, the game is yours

Good ideas, bad UI
The game has good ideas. You sort of run a government, so your goals and actions are framed as political promises and policy decisions. And the military layer actually features logistics (you know, the whole point of military strategy). How great is that! Well... Every time I played, the UI made me rage quit. The last one was when my best unit from a unique event and with all the expensive upgrades just disappeared. Here last turn, gone the next, no explanation. I know every review already mentions the UI but the takeaway is that it's not just button placement and click count issue. The info you need to actually play and PLAN just isn't there. How many trucks will I need to transport this unit? Go read a guide somewhere because the game won't tell you. There are prompts that make you choose between a circle with a star and a circle with triangles. There are popups with nonsensical variables. Hope you memorized all 76 factions on this map because you're going to need to remember their names! And I don't even have the room to talk about the RNG objectives, the broken NPC mechanics, the poorly balanced Stratagem economy, the bad AI, the questionable balance, and the limited WW2 tech tree. The game is fixable but would require so much rewriting, there's no way it will happen. Which is a shame, because the ideas are good. Hopefully there's a more polished sequel. Pay full price at own risk.

Great Simulation let down by its AI
I had a lot of fun learning all the mechanics of the game. The setting is excellent both thematically and as a way of making sure your experience evolves from scraping by with a fallout-style militia to a WW2 Ostfront total war. There is a lot to do, from pushing up resource numbers, to managing your characters, to tweaking your logistics network, to sending in your armoured reserve to punch its way through enemy lines. I have two criticisms of the game however. Firstly, and most importantly, the AI is extremely passive and it is honestly harder battling the UI than it is the enemy. They just sit there watching themselves get surrounded, never putting on pressure or falling back from an obviously lost position. I am not looking for a game that will put me in serious danger of losing, but I do want to feel like the enemy commander hasn't disappeared for a cigarette break! The second (minor) criticism is the setting might be a post-apocalyptic future but the military tech is just reskinned from the WW2 era - where is the fun stuff? Drone swarms? Electronic warfare? Horrifying grey goo? Potentially rogue military AI? Nope, we get heavy tanks vs AT guns... Having said that, if you like complex strategy games that don't get too anal about the details you will definitely get 10-20 hours worth here. If the AI improved you would get far more...

King of Kings! King of Strategy Games!
After 150 h I think that it's the best wargame/4x that I ever played! Pro: - Logistic system - Factions - Planets customisation - Units management - Fun! Contra: - It's not easy to start and find out how to play this game. I recommend some tutorials on youtube. Believe me, you will need it. I hope that soon we will have navy system in game. 100/10 score!
