Serious Sam 4

Serious Sam and Doom are two of my most beloved old school shooters. I just finished playing Doom Eternal and I continue the trip down memory lane with Serious Sam 4. Serious Sam 4 feels right back at home the way I left years ago. Corny jokes and absolute mayhem. This is the way to release stress with mindless shooting with seemingly never ending waives of enemies. Sure, some criticism is spot on. Graphics are just average, facial animations leave a lot to be desired and the game could use some better optimization BUT THE CORE GAMEPLAY IS AWESOME. Blowing enemy after enemy over and over again is super satisfying and this is what SS has always been about. Just note that Serious Sam is a game that must be play with mouse and keyboard. Xbox controller is too slow to aim and it is not going to cut it in this game. There is so much action happening in front of you in a split of a second that quick aiming with a mouse is a must to survive. This game will challenge your reflexes and you will die often but this is what makes SS awesome. Serious Sam 4 are hours of mindless, pure digital entertainment. Serious Sam 4 does not disappoint.

Quite the opposite, its quite good for a Serious Sam game, granted, there are some performance issues but that could be from the fact that i myself am playing the game on a unsupported operating system though translations layers that the game wasn't meant to be run at. but besides that its a dumb fun game like the rest of the series. so definitely a thumbs up on this one chief!

It's Serious and it's Sam. If you played the previous games then you know what to expect. Story and characters aren't anything to write home about, but gunplay is the best it's been and enemy variety is great. Environments look vibrant but a bit samey in terms of level design. Playing on Normal and the challenge is certainly there - needed to pop off a few gagdets when it gets really hectic. Overall if you enjoy fast-paced FPS with insane body counts and plenty of explosions then you do certainly do a lot worse!

Dumb title, but fun game! Lighthearted and comical, but still has intense moments and cool weapons and a cool skill tree and just an all around fun game. Great options for the effects too. Holds up real well as a single player FPS.

My favouritve game since childhood, and the 4th part follows the spirit of the previous ones
